How to get there:               Saturday March 13th 2010

Signs on road 40 south of the town of Skagen (click for map).

Please note that parking might be difficult

Distances:

Parking to assembly area, cars: app. 300 m.

Parking to assembly area, coaches: 100 m.

Assembly area to start: app. 500 m.

Assembly area:               Open area in centre of forest.

Event centre:                   None.

Event office:                   Tent in assembly area. Open Saturday from 10.00 and Sunday from 07.30

Correction of names and brikke numbers.

Payment for participation.

NB: No club bags!

Start:                               First start    12.00. Follow signs and orange/blue tape to start. App. 500m.

Maps:                              Kirkemilen . Printed maps with printed control descriptions in plastic bags.  Revised  2009.

Contours 2, 5 m. Scale 1:10.000

Control descriptions:       IOF-symbols. Loose control sheets , which must be mounted so that they cannot be lost in the forest, will be provided at start.

Toilets:

In assembly area. Follow signs. No toilets at start.

Showers:

Ålbæk Idrætsanlæg. (Sports centre). Signs on road 40 northern edge of Ålbæk town (click for map).

Assembly area to showers app. 21 km.

 

Children’s activities/nursery:   In workmen’s hut in assembly area.

Open Saturday  11.00 to17.00.  Sunday 08.00 to13.00.

 

Children’s courses:         Follow signs to tent 50 m from assembly area where there

will be instructions and start for the children’s courses.

Start 12.00 to 15.00

 

Open courses (Entry on day):

Open 1 app. 7 km. Difficult

Open 2 app. 3,5 km. Difficult.

Open 3 app. 4 km. Medium

Open 4 app. 3 km. Easy.

Open 5 app. 2 km. Beginners.

Fees:D/H-20: 90 DKK,- and D/H21: 120DKK per run. Rented EMIT-brikke: 15DKK per run.

Sold 12.00 to 14.00.In the large tent. (See signs).

 

Starting list:                     In assembly area and at start.

Course distance, number of controls and brikke number shown. Also to be found on the event web site.

 

Refreshment points:        Water on all difficult courses over 6 km. (at control).

At finish: luke warm water and watered squash.

 

Electronic punching:       There will be a check station with light next to the event office. Please check your EMIT brikke.

If there is no light signal, you MUST turn to the event office to get a new rented brikke.  In case you have forgotten your brikke or it does not work, you can rent one in the event office for 15DKK  per day.

 

Starting procedure:

When the clock shows your start time, enter the first stall.

Here you will get your back-up card and your rented brikke.

The runner must mount the back-up card on the brikke.

In stall number two you can get a loose control descriptions sheet if you have a holder or case for it. Self service. Getting the right course is the runner’s own responsibility.

In stall three the runner’s starting time will be checked.

One minute before start the runner must proceed to the box on which the runner’s class is written, take his map, stand at the closest free EMIT start unit and place his map face down on the ground.

At the first bleep 5 seconds before start place the EMIT brikke in the start unit. Lift it at the long bleep and you have started.

If the above procedure is not followed the runner may be disqualified.

Getting the correct map is the runner’s own responsibility.

Should you have got the wrong map or more than one, ask officials for help. Do not try to put it back in the box yourselves.

Late starters must report to the stall designated for these runners.

Electronic punching:       It is of utmost importance that the  EMIT-brikke is pushed firmly into the control unit when punching.

:Warm clothing:               Due to the short distance from the assembly area there will be no transport of clothing from start.

Max.time:                       2½ hours for all participants.

Finish:                           Finishing time will be registered when the EMIT brikke is punched into the finish control at the finishing line.

From this point follow the finish chute to download and further on to where leg times are handed out.

 

If you are going to run on Sunday your brikke will not be collected. Take good care of it. If it is lost compensation will be 400DKK

Map may be kept after finish, but it must not be shown to runners who have not yet started

We encourage all runners to show Fair Play.

 

Dropped out runners:      Must go through finish and punch their brikke in the finish control at the finishing line.

 

Results:                           Will be displayed in assembly area, and on the event web site                                       www.nordjysk2dages.dk immediately after the event.

 

Club results:                    Club results  lists can be obtained by club representatives from event office before you leave.

 

Disqualification:             In case of disqualification  you can obtain information of the cause by calling at the event office.

Should the disqualification happen to be unfounded, the runner will be allowed and will appear on the results list. The decision will be made  in accordance with  DOF rules on the use of EMIT at orienteering events.

Prizes:                             On Saturday as well as Sunday there will be prizes for 1. 2. and 3. places in age groups D/H-16 and down.

Moreover there will be small prizes for all children who have had ”Optional start”.

There are no prizes for winners of the other classes.

Prizes will be handed out next to the event office in the assembly area as soon as possible after winners of the individual classes have been found.

Prizes that have not been collected will be handed over on Sunday.

Prizes will not be sent to home addresses

 

Refreshments:                 A large tent in the assembly area will contain a well assorted kiosk.

 

Complaints/protests:       In compliance with DOF regulations possible complaints or protests must be lodged with the event office.

 

Organiser and referee can be seen by reporting to the event office.

 

Change of name/brikke  In event office in good time before start.

 

Training Friday:              Instruction and driving instruction on event web site.

 

Smoking:                        Prohibited on assembly area, forest and sports centre (showers)

 

Beginners’ instruction:    There is a separate beginners’ instruction (optional start).

 

Course distances:        A survey of courses/age groups with information of distances and number of controls will be on display.

Notice: The event is a ranking list competition for Danish Junior Elite runners D/H19-20E.  These runners will wear number bibs.
